Thank you to all the teams who played in the 2012 preseason competition and congratulations to the following teams for winning their divisions

2012 Sep – Dec Competition

6 a side will be back in September for a 15 week competition. Early bird registrations will be available on this website from June 2012.

Wet weather

Rain does not stop matches, only lightning effects play. If electrical storms are in the area then ground staff will make an assessment if it is safe to play. Depending on the conditions it may be all matches, or if the weather looks like improving the first round may be cancelled and the later rounds on hold. All mangers will be notified by SMS if any game is cancelled. Only cancellation messages will be sent, if you do not receive an SMS then games are on.

Important information for all teams

• For playing conditions please make sure you read the competition rules
• No food is permitted on the synthetic grass
• Drinks, only water can be taken onto the synthetic surface
• Make sure you check the draw thoroughly, rescheduling is not possible
• If you are injured make sure you report it to staff  
• There is no access on the playing surface on weekdays before 7.00pm
• Please stay off the athletic track at all times

Player Information

As a registered participant in the Botany Bay Six-a-Side Soccer Competition you are covered by the player's insurance policy. For your information here are copies of the certificate of currency and the policy wording.  Please note the Health Insurance Act 1973 prevents general insurers from paying medical expenses which are subject to full or partial rebate from Medicare, including the Medicare Gap.  This is a standard exclusion in Group Personal Accident policies as insurers are prohibited from paying these expenses by law. Therefore the insurance policy provides cover for Non-Medicare Medical Expenses.  Please remember it is the player's responsibility to report any injury to officials so that the appropriate forms can be completed.
