The City Planning Department under the direction of Council are responsible for developing Council's plans and policies relating to land use and planning matters.
	The Department oversees the preparation of Local Environmental Plans (LEPs), Development Control Plans (DCPs) and codes and policies on specific planning matters. The Department also undertakes special projects that are aimed at improving the liveability of our City.
	The functions of the Department also assist the Council in achieving its vision for the City.
