Resident Parking Schemes

In some areas of the City of Botany Bay, residents may be eligible for parking permits. A permit exempts users from most time limits, but they do not guarantee a parking spot on our streets. As required by law, the eligibility and conditions of Residential Parking Schemes in the City of Botany Bay are based on NSW Roads & Maritime Services’ Permit Parking Guidelines. Carers’ and Tradespersons’ Permits are also available if the eligibility criteria is met. Applications for the Resident Parking Permits can be collected from the Mascot Administration Centre or call us on 02 9366 3666 and we will send one out to you.

Abandoned vehicles

Botany Bay City Council Rangers can investigate reports of vehicles that may have been abandoned. Rangers will identify the last registered owner and notify them by a formal 'Notice of Intention to Impound' that the vehicle must be re-registered or removed to private property. If the last registered owner fails to comply with the ‘Notice of Intention to Impound’, the vehicle is then deemed be abandoned and the matter will be handed over to the NSW Police.
