Section 94 Development Contributions Plans
Section 94 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 enables Council to levy developers for contributions to public amenities and services, required as a consequence of development activity. These contributions are levied by councils on new developments to ensure that growing and changing communities have adequate public amenities and services. Development contributions (monetary or in-kind) can be used to help provide for parks, local road improvements, town centre improvements, community centres and other services.
Council on 14 June 2016 approved two new contributions plans as follows:
The two new Plans came into effect on Wednesday 22 June 2016.
The two new Plans replace the Mascot Station Precinct Section 94 Contributions Plan and the City of Botany Bay Section 94 Contributions Plan 2005 -2010 .
