    Orica - Waste Management Plant - Orica is proposing to build a waste processing plant at its Botany site to destroy hexachlorobenzene (HCB) waste currently stored on-site.     Botany Bay National Park - Botany Bay National Park has a unique combination of natural and cultural heritage features. It's the site of first contact between Aboriginal people and the crew of James Cook's Endeavour in 1770. The National Parks & Wildlife Service website also include Plans of Management and information about the Natural Environment.

    Botany Bay - Recreational Fishing Area - The NSW Fisheries web site has information on a range of environmental and conservation issues relating to Botany Bay, including recreational vs commercial fishing and introduced marine pests amongst others.

    Urban Bushland Under Threat - Urban Bushland Under Threat was published in 1996 under a funding grant from the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning, Lane Cove River CMC, Middle Harbour CMC, and Hawkesbury-Nepean CMT. This report is from the Nature Conservation Council web site. It provides an overview of Sydney's bushland and makes recommendations for the protection, conservation, and better management of public and privately owned urban bushland both in Sydney and in the rest of the State.

    Resource NSW - Resource NSW has replaced the NSW Waste Boards. Their goal is to "develop and implement a comprehensive waste strategy for the whole of New South Wales". Of particular interest are the Resource NSW Programs

    NSW Environment Protection Authority - The Waste section of the NSW EPA site has lots of information about the environmental impact of waste and recycling.

    NSW Heritage Office - The web site of this state government department provides information about conserving our heritage. It includes the Heritage Inventory, a searchable database of heritage listings in New South Wales

    Community Access to Natural Resources Information (CANRI) - Community Access to Natural Resources Information (CANRI) brings together key environmental information from NSW Government agencies and other organisations. highly recommended for the content which includes natural resources & environment, land, air, water, vegetation, flora & fauna, minerals & energy, etc.

    National Parks & Wildlife Services - The official web site of the NPWS contains a great deal of information about conservation, history, Aboriginal heritage and plants and animals (including the NSW Wildlife Atlas) in the National Parks of NSW. The exploring your parks link enables you to view this information for individual parks and recreation areas and provides access to document including the role of NPWS in managing bushfire.
