Operational Plan and Budget

Council has prepared and adopted its Operational Plan, Budget, Revenue Policy and Fees and Charges to meet its responsibilities under the Local Government Act 1993 and Regulation. The Operational Plan is a sub-plan of the Delivery Program 2013-17 and demonstrates Council’s approach to achieving the Strategic Directions of the Delivery Program.
 
The Operational Plan 2016/17 outlines the projects, programs and activities (annual deliverables) that Council will undertake during the 2016/17 financial year. The  Plan is structured around the five themes of:

A city built on trust and community engagement

An inclusive community

A liveable city

A city of natural beauty

A place to be proud of

Operational Plan and Budget 2016-2017

In adopting the Operational Plan and Budget for 2016/17 The City of Botany has set out the capital works and operational program which will deliver real benefits to our residents, visitors and businesses.  A full list of the capital works is provided in the Operational Plan

The Operational Budget has detailed the projected rate income for the 2016/2017 year. This includes the making and levying of the following Rates and Charges for the period 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017:

Residential Rate: of 0.1379 cents in the dollar on all rateable land categorised as Residential.

Residential Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Residential.

Business A Rate: of 0.5164 cents in the dollar on rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business A.

Business A Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business A.

Business AMS Rate: of 0. 5164 cents in the dollar on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business AMS

Business AMS Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business AMS

Business B Rate: of 0.47246 cents in the dollar on all land categorised as Business - sub category Business B.

Business B Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business B.

Business BMS Rate: of 0.47246 cents in the dollar on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business BMS

Business BMS Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business BMS.

Business C Rate: of 0.1379 cents in the dollar on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business C.

Business C Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business C.

Business PB Rate: of 1.0374 cents in the dollar on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business PB

Business PB Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business PB.

Business BIA Rate: of 0.5164 cents in the dollar on all land categorised as Business - sub category Business BIA.

Business BIA Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business BIA.

Business BIA(B) Rate: of 0.4724 cents in the dollar on all land categorised as Business - sub category Business BIA(B).

Business BIA(B) Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business - sub category Business BIA(B).

Business BIA NTH Rate: of 0.5164 cents in the dollar on all land categorised as Business – sub category BIA NTH.

Business BIA NTH Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business – sub category BIA NTH.

Business BIA NTH (B) Rate: of 0.61179 cents in the dollar on all land categorised as Business BIA NTH (B).

Business BIA NTH (B) Minimum Rate: of $506.00 on all rateable land categorised as Business – sub category BIA NTH (B).

Domestic Waste Management Charge for the year 2016/2017 of $481.00 per service for each parcel of rateable land for which the service is available.

Garbage Charge of $539.00 for 2016/2017 for each additional Garbage Service.

Mascot Local Parking Rate of 0.2438 cents in the dollar on all land in the Mascot Shopping Centre Parking Local Area as defined in the Government Gazette of January 7, 1983, plus Lot 1 DP 34351 and Part Lot 2 in DP 62562 for the provision of off street parking within the Mascot Shopping Centre Area.  Excluding Lot 10, DP858424.

Mascot Main Street Rate of 0.2438 cents in the dollar on all land in the Mascot Shopping Centre Parking Local Area for the provision of a Main Street Coordinator or similar for the Mascot Shopping Centre Area.

An interest charge of 8% per annum on all overdue rates.

A stormwater levy at the rate of $25.00 per 350 square metres of land or part thereof to the land categories of Business B, Business AMS, Business BMS, Business PB, Business BIA(B), Business BIA NTH (B), Business A, Business AMS, Business BIA and Business BIA NTH.

A stormwater levy at the rate of $25.00 per residential property or $12.50 per residential strata unit for all land categorised as Residential.
