Ordinary Council Meetings are usually held on the 4th Wednesday during the month. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers located at Botany Town Hall on the corner of Botany Road and Edward Street, Botany. Meetings commence at 7.00pm.
Extraordinary Meetings of the Council may also be called when needed.
To provide a framework for conducting its meetings, Council has adopted a Code of Conduct and a Code of Meeting Practice. This framework has been implemented to ensure all Council meetings are:
- consistent, orderly and efficient
- fair and respectful for all meeting participants
- conducted with transparency.

There are three ways to keep up to date with what is happening at Council meetings. You can
Occasionally, if an agenda item is commercially or legally sensitive or there is concern about privacy, Council will hold a closed session for the duration of that agenda item.
Addressing a Council Meeting
Members of the community are invited to speak directly to Councillors during a Council Meeting on a matter on the Agenda of the meeting if it has not already been considered by a Committee of the Council. To register to address a Committee Meeting, please call 02 9366 3666 on the day of the meeting and be present at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the meeting.
